Mom Mommy Bruh

If you’ve been following me, you might have noticed a bit of a renovation around here. I wanted to refresh the blog to better reflect who I am and what I’m doing—embracing my role as a mom, specifically as a boy mom.

Earlier this year, Boy2 picked up the term “bruh.” I’m not sure if it’s some kind of rite of passage into young boyhood, but it hit him hard, and before long, Boy1 was saying “bwuh” too. My initial reaction was a mix of surprise and amusement—of all the words for my mostly nonverbal child to learn, “bruh” was the choice! My sister had the same reaction at Thanksgiving.

Despite the initial surprise, it’s incredibly cute. When either of them says it, they come across as these little, cheeky “punk” guys. So, some days I’m “mom,” other days “mommy,” and sometimes, I’m “bruh.” This blog will capture the essence of my journey through motherhood and the unique experience of being a boy mom.

Welcome to mom mommy bruh (now mom mommy bwuh)!
