I adore the vacation vibe of summer, especially when it involves relaxing by the pool or lounging on the beach. What I’m not as fond of is the relentless summer heat—at least when I’m not soaking it up by the water. You know what I mean? When I’m basking in the sun at the pool or beach, it’s all good. But when I’m stuck doing chores like lugging groceries indoors, the heat quickly loses its charm.
That said, when we’re not off on vacation or busy with summer camps, we’ve put together a fun summer bucket list to make the most of our season. Here’s what we’ve got planned…
- Go to the beach
- Go swimming
- Go to a splash pad
- Go to a water park
- Do a summer scavenger hunt
- Make a summer craft
- Make popsicles
- Write your name in the sand
- Have a water gun fight
- Have a watermelon seed spitting contest
- Watch fireworks
- Make lemonade
- Make a red, white, and blue dessert
- Build a sandcastle
- Make root beer floats
- Play beach ball volleyball
- Take summer pictures
- Play kickball
- Read a book by the pool
- Celebrate Christmas in July
- Watch a thunderstorm
- Play miniature golf
- Pick berries
- Barbecue dinner
- Go fishing
- Have an ice cream tasting
- Play water balloon baseball
- Dance in the rain
- Go on a road trip
I’m sharing this a bit ahead of schedule since summer doesn’t officially start until June 20th, but with summer break kicking off this week, we’re eager to dive in!
