Hubs and I liked the bags we used for our October trip, so we used them again. We also packed most of the same items inside, but we saw differences in what we used and didn’t use.

Hubs wore this pack: Osage River Deluxe Tackle Sling Fishing Bag

I wore this pack: G4Free 20L Lightweight Packable Backpack
Inside were the following:
Change of clothes for each kid (shorts, socks, underwear) – We did not end up needing a change of clothes for either kid, thank goodness, but I felt good having them just in case. It’s when you don’t have them that you end up needing them.
Extra socks – We did not use the extra socks. The boys feet were squishy after Kali River Rapids, but that was the last thing we did before we left, so they just changed their clothes when we got back to the Lodge.
Ponchos (2 adult, 2 child) – We did not need these this trip, but it felt good having them just in case since we did use them last time.
Wet Wipes – We didn’t end up needing these at Animal Kingdom, but I legit do not leave home with two boys without wet wipes somewhere on my persons.
Tissues – We didn’t use these this trip, but see above.
Zipper bags (gallon and quart sizes) – We had our items inside zipper bags in the backpacks just in case they weren’t actually waterproof and to keep things a little more organized. We also packed a few extra empty zipper bags to put dirty socks and any clothes changes into. We used one of the smaller bags to hold our pressed pennies.
First Aid Kit – We did not need to use this. I liked having it, but I also know there are First Aid sites all throughout the parks, so I don’t really know that it’s necessary.
Moleskin – Did not need to use this. Wearing Crocs at the parks has been a game changer for my feet! For all our feet, honestly. We wear them with socks so there’s no rubbing. I probably won’t pack this next time unless someone wears sneakers.
Advil – I am having a shoulder issue, so I used this.
Pepto Bismol – Did not use, but always a must-have for me.
Dramamine – I popped the adult, less drowsy version and gave the boys the kids version.
FuelRods – Our phone batteries survived! We didn’t need to charge them, still happy we had these just in case. I actually ended up using this later in the week when I needed a quick charge and it worked great. Very nice to have.
Personal Fans – We used these! Very nice to have, especially since it hangs around your neck. We had them going during lunch, too.
Cooling Towels – We used these. Wonderfully cool. The four-pack was perfect for us to have.
Propel electrolyte packets – We drank A LOT of water, but we didn’t use the packets. I kept them packed though, because a friend of mine was at the park a week before and her husband ended up sick from the heat and dehydration, so I figured if any of us started to feel bad, we could boost our water with the Propel. We stayed very hydrated though, and felt good!
Reusable bag – We did not use this this time, but I had it in my mind that we had it in case we wanted to buy things.
Again, some of the items were not used, but it gave us peace of mind to have them. You just never know. The packs were so light, we could have even packed more, despite the heat.
What are your “must have” park bag items?
