Fingerprints

I recently came across a quote that really resonated with me: “God gave you a fingerprint that no one else has, so that you can leave an imprint that no one else can.” Although I couldn’t pinpoint its original source—seemingly it’s quoted by many without a clear attribution—the message struck a chord with me.

This sentiment perfectly captures the essence of what I hope to convey to my boys. Although they often get lumped together due to being brothers, sharing the same grade, and being close in age, each one possesses their own distinct and beautiful qualities. Their unique fingerprints are what will allow them to leave their own special mark on the world.

It’s crucial to nurture their individual interests and celebrate their unique traits. While they navigate the challenge of carving out their own identities, especially since they share so much—including a room—I’m excited to witness their personal growth and self-discovery. Each of them has their own path to forge, and I look forward to supporting them as they explore and embrace their individuality.
