This year’s back-to-school season kicked off a bit earlier than usual for me. At the end of June, I took Boy1 and Boy2 shopping for new backpacks from Lands’ End. We initially set out for the usual novelty bags, but my sister suggested we check out the backpacks from Lands’ End due to their impressive quality. Considering how Boy2’s bag barely survived the last school year, I decided to invest in Lands’ End backpacks this time, hoping they would withstand not only the school year but potentially even summer camp. I also ordered matching lunchboxes to complete the set.
Boy1 often chooses whatever Boy2 picks, so I had him select his backpack design first. He chose a rocket schematic-themed backpack. When it was Boy2’s turn, he unknowingly picked the exact same design! This presented a small dilemma: how would we distinguish between the two backpacks?
Enter Amazon, the ultimate problem-solver.

I found these cute customizable name tag keychains. They have a zipper-pull like clasp, so they were very easy to clip on to the backpacks. I got each boy one with his name for his backpack and one with his initial for his lunchbox. They were easy to customize, inexpensive, and arrived very quickly.

My second Amazon find for the new school year was sticker name labels. These make labeling the boys’ supplies and personal items so much easier. Sharpie ink can rub off of things over time. These labels last a long time.
