On the second enchanting chapter of our summer adventure, we returned to the heart of Disney magic for a delicious breakfast at Chef Mickey’s! Nestled within the iconic Disney’s Contemporary Resort, this whimsical dining experience features the legendary Monorail gliding right through the middle of the resort building! From our table, we could watch the Monorail swoosh by, adding an extra sprinkle of Disney charm to our meal.

Our breakfast feast was nothing short of a fairytale! The buffet was a cornucopia of breakfast delights, from crispy bacon and fluffy eggs to golden pancakes and Mickey-shaped waffles. There were delicious crepes, savory sausage, and a treasure trove of pastries like croissants and muffins. Even the pickiest of eaters found their favorites among the myriad of choices, making the experience truly magical for everyone. And don’t forget to try the POG juice—it’s a delightful burst of tropical sunshine!

The character interaction at Chef Mickey’s was a highlight that felt like a personal touch of Disney magic. With Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, and Minnie in attendance, there was always a beloved character ready to bring joy to our table. Goofy danced with our little one, making his day truly unforgettable, as Goofy is his favorite character. And Minnie’s warm hug was pure enchantment, captured in a heartwarming photo.

Out of all our character dining adventures—Cape May Cafe, Hollywood and Vine, and Chef Mickey’s—this experience stood out as the most magical. Each had its own special charm, but there was an extra sprinkle of pixie dust at Chef Mickey’s that made it feel extraordinary.

After our meal, we explored the shops at the Contemporary Resort, picking up a charming collection of toys, pins, and shirts. We even made a stop at a penny press to grab some of our must-have souvenirs. Our adventure continued with a Monorail ride to the Grand Floridian, where we enjoyed more shopping and another penny press moment. It was a splendidly quick and joyful way to soak up even more Disney enchantment!
