Our family loves Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was a difficult decision to stay somewhere else, but Coronado Springs Resort seems to offer a similar (yet very different) immersive experience. So if you’re dreaming of a Disney getaway that combines breathtaking architecture and delectable dining, check it out. We are gearing up for an October adventure at this resort, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what’s in store for our stay!

Our adventure begins with a stay in the Gran Destino Tower, where we’ve reserved a room with a water view. This tower marries Spanish elegance with a touch of Disney whimsy, making it a perfect base for our magical escape. As we step into our room, we’ll be greeted by views that capture the essence of Disney’s enchantment (check out the variety of videos on YouTube!). We’re crossing our fingers that our room offers a glimpse of Expedition Everest in the distance—imagine the thrill of seeing the iconic mountain from our window! It’ll be a nice surprise since we won’t be visiting Animal Kingdom this trip.

The resort’s Spanish and Southwest influences are evident in every corner of Coronado Springs. From the vibrant tilework to the charming, rustic details, the resort’s design is a celebration of cultural richness. We’re eager to stroll through the beautifully landscaped grounds, where we can admire the architecture and enjoy the serene ambiance. The resort’s design is not only visually stunning but also a wonderful tribute to its cultural inspirations.

A highlight of our stay will undoubtedly be the resort’s pool area. Coronado Springs boasts an expansive pool with a playful Spanish-inspired theme. We plan to spend ample time here, and I’m so glad we’ve begun to allot time on our Disney trips now to enjoy the beautiful resorts and all they have to offer. The pool area is perfect for family fun, and we can’t wait to dive into the excitement.

With about a day and a half to explore, we’re also eyeing a visit to one of Disney’s charming miniature golf courses. Our ticket packages always include admission to one of the miniature golf courses or Disney’s Wide World of Sports, but we never take advantage. Disney World offers two miniature golf locations: Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland.

Fantasia Gardens, located near the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, features a whimsical design inspired by Disney’s classic film “Fantasia.” The course is split into two parts: one with a traditional layout and the other with a more adventurous, fantasy-themed design.

Winter Summerland, situated near Blizzard Beach, is a holiday-themed mini-golf course that celebrates both winter and summer. It’s a fun-filled escape where you can enjoy snowmen and sandcastles in one delightful package. We’re excited to experience the festive cheer and playful obstacles.

We’ve also lined up some exciting dining experiences, which I’ll delve into in another post. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort offers a range of culinary delights, from casual bites to more sophisticated fare. We’re looking forward to savoring the flavors and creating some magical mealtime memories.

As we prepare for our upcoming stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, we’re brimming with anticipation for the adventures that await. From the elegance of Gran Destino Tower to the fun-filled pool days and whimsical miniature golf courses, this trip promises to be filled with Disney magic and cherished family moments.

Stay tuned for more updates on our magical journey and dining experiences at this extraordinary resort!
