I talked about packing for our Disney trip a while ago, but I waited to talk about the park bag until after my trip so I could share what I needed, what I didn’t need, what I wished I had, what I wished I had more of, etc. It’s taken a while to gather this together.
Hubs and I each had a bag and we split the items listed below between our bags based on what fit most comfortably.

Hubs wore this pack: Osage River Deluxe Tackle Sling Fishing Bag

I wore this pack: G4Free 20L Lightweight Packable Backpack
Inside were the following:
Change of clothes for each kid (shirt, pants, shorts, socks, underwear) – We did not end up needing a change of clothes for either kid, thank goodness, but I felt good having them just in case. It’s when you don’t have them
Extra socks – We used the extra socks. It rained at Animal Kingdom so we needed to change. I think there was one other day we ended up with wet feet. The one (the absolutely only one, I swear) disadvantage to wearing Crocs to the parks.
Hat – Hubs always wears a hat, I do not. I ended up using it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios because it was so hot. The sun was brutal those days – in October, yes. We bought the boys hats at Hollywood Studios because we didn’t hat plan for them. Whoops.
Ponchos (2 adult, 2 child) – We used these at Animal Kingdom when it rained. We still got a little wet underneath, but not nearly as much as we would have if we didn’t have them. They folded up very tiny, too, so I was able to fit them all in one gallon sized zipper bag.
Wet Wipes – Used these. Dole whip. I don’t think I need to say anything more.
Tissues – We all have allergies so these were essential and used often.
Zipper bags (gallon and quart sizes) – We had our items inside zipper bags in the backpacks just in case they weren’t actually waterproof and to keep things a little more organized. We also packed a few extra empty zipper bags to put dirty socks and any clothes changes into. We used these for dirty socks.
First Aid Kit – We did not need to use this. I liked having it, but I also know there are First Aid sites all throughout the parks, so I don’t really know that it’s necessary.
Moleskin – Did not need to use this, but I liked having it just in case. I think if any of us were wearing sneakers, we might have used it.
Advil – I forgot to take my sinus medicine, so I did pop an Advil for my sinus headache.
Pepto Bismol – Did not use, but always a must-have for me.
Dramamine – I popped the adult, less drowsy version and gave the boys the kids version.
FuelRods – Our phone batteries survived! We didn’t need to charge them, still happy we had these just in case.
Personal Fans – We used these, me mostly, when it was super hot at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
Cooling Towels – Did not use these. There were times at Hollywood Studios when it was miserably hot, but I thought the act of wetting the towels and stuff would have been a little too much, so I figured I’d hold off as a last resort. We ended up not getting to that point. I might pack them again if we go in the summer time.
Carabiners – We did not use these. I think if we had ended up with a lot of extra bags, we might have. I’ll still pack a couple just in case, they don’t take too much space.
Stroller Straps – We used these for a minute at Magic Kingdom, but the design of the rental stroller wasn’t really conducive for these. We hung our water bottles from them and as soon as the boys got out of the stroller, the weight tipped the stroller backwards. So we changed things up. If you have a different stroller where things might be more balanced, worth it.
Propel electrolyte packets – We just drank our water and didn’t use these. It wasn’t terribly hot the entire time, and we ate pretty regularly, so I don’t think we ever felt deficient. Probably a better item for hotter times or for people who sweat more.
Reusable bag – We used these to carry our water bottles at the end of the day. We ended up getting bags at the stores we shopped at so we didn’t need to dive into these for anything else. Good to have.
Autograph books – We never pulled out our autograph books, but we totally should have. Missed opportunity for sure!
Pens – See above.

Pin lanyards – We loved adding our new pins to our lanyards as we got them! Some we did back at the resort, but some we did on the spot. We got the kids Mickey and Pals lanyards, and we got Jack and Sally.
Best of all? Despite the number of items we had stuffed in these bags, it felt like nothing. We had no strain from carrying the backpacks. Everything was lightweight. The heaviest items may have been the FuelRods, and they were small.
