During our Disney Springs adventure, we dined at T-Rex Café, which was a thrilling experience for our dinosaur-loving boys. The atmosphere at T-Rex is truly a spectacle, immersing you in a prehistoric world with animatronic dinosaurs and a dynamic environment that captivates kids and adults alike. Since T-Rex Café is part of the Landry’s family of restaurants—alongside favorites like Rainforest Café and Joe’s Crab Shack—we were able to use our Landry’s Select Club membership to earn points and enjoy exclusive rewards.
As the restaurant’s atmosphere shifts dramatically with periodic meteor showers, it’s an experience that can be quite immersive. The space dims and rumbles, creating a meteor shower effect that adds an extra layer of excitement. While this might be a bit intense for some sensory-sensitive guests, both Boy1 and Boy2 were thrilled by the special effects and the changing lights, especially in the room where blue ice transforms to red during the meteor shower. The dramatic lighting, however, made it challenging to capture good photos—something to keep in mind if you’re planning to document the visit.
We didn’t have reservations, but our Landry’s Select Club membership proved invaluable. It allowed us to bypass the line and walk in without waiting, which was a real time-saver during lunch. The membership, which costs $25, immediately pays for itself with a $25 reward. It also provides front-of-the-line privileges, birthday rewards, and discounts as you accumulate points. For the best experience, I recommend purchasing the membership in the gift shop first, then using your reward when dining at the restaurant.

For appetizers, we indulged in the Colossal Beef Nachos and Cheesy Skillet Meatballs, both of which were absolutely delicious. The nachos were loaded with savory toppings, while the meatballs were perfectly cheesy and satisfying. For my main course, I chose the Mediterranean Chicken and Shrimp Pasta, a seasonal special that was fresh and flavorful. Hubs went for a hearty mega meat platter—though I can’t recall its exact name, he thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
The kids’ menu at T-Rex Café features simple yet tasty options perfect for picky eaters. Our boys had a great time with their choices: spaghetti with meatballs and a classic cheeseburger.
A standout feature of our visit was the boys’ fancy refillable cups shaped like T-Rex and Triceratops heads. Each cup came with a lanyard, allowing them to wear their new keepsakes around their necks. In addition to the cups, they picked out fun shirts and toys from the gift shop.
The restaurant also has a fantastic sand pit dinosaur dig area, which kept the kids entertained while we waited or shopped. It’s a great touch that adds to the overall fun experience at T-Rex Café.
T-Rex Café was a memorable part of our Disney Springs visit, blending fantastic food with a truly immersive experience. What are your favorite parts of T-Rex Café or Disney Springs? We’d love to hear your recommendations for our next adventure!
